Athirappilly Trekking conducted in Vazhachal division aims to cover a
distance of 9 km of the rain forests of Athirappilly Forest Station area from
Athirappilly camp shed to Nadukani hills of Athirappilly Forest Station . The
trekking conducted 9KM through teak plantations . The trekking through the
buffer zone area.This trekking does not go into core area. This trekking is covered
9 km adventurous so it will be a different experience for the trekkers. On reaching
the 1976 teak plantation, the Athirappily falls can be seen safely from the other
side, so it will be a different experience for the trekkers . food and drinking water
will be provided to the travelers during this Trekking. Each trekking includes
expertly trained staff and an experienced local tribal watchers. The scheme can be
implemented at an affordable rate for trekkers. Maximam 15 travelers included
in the one trip. only one trip will be permitted in that day.
Wildlife viewing opportunities
The semi evergreen forest is crossed by the trekking during the entire trip, it’s the perfect place for nature photography and bird watching because of the tranquil surroundings and the opportunity to see wildlife. For the enthusisats ,there are also plenty of bird,butterfly,and odnate sightings. Many wild animals than can be seen here during the day. Trekkers can also enjoy the beauty of Athirapilly wtaer Falls from Ernakulam district
